SALARY: Grade 9 (SCP 23 to 26)

We are seeking to appoint a qualified full-time permanent dynamic HLTA who can inspire, engage and excite our students in their learning through a creative and personalised provision and provide innovative and inspirational learning opportunities. The successful candidate will:
be expected to undertake the role of HLTA in complementing the professional work of teachers by taking responsibilities for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision
be expected to plan from the teachers' framework and to implement a range of purposeful learning activities. They will also support teachers in monitoring and evaluating pupil'/students' progress and achievements using a range of assessments as agreed.
be expected to assist and collaborate with teachers in short term planning and the implementation of specific areas of provision
be able to demonstrate relevant experience and qualifications (intent to achieve qualifications will be considered) in order to fulfil the duties consistent within the attached job description as well as working across different pathways within the school
have the ability to demonstrate a differentiated, inspiring approach to meet specific needs and to transfer skills creatively across the curriculum
have knowledge and skills of sensory approaches and a range of physical therapies including Intensive Interaction and Sensory Integration
have a passion and commitment to education for students with complex needs
bring enthusiasm and energy to the role
be adaptable
have excellent communication skills
have ability to form positive and effective relationships
