As a system specialist, you will be responsible for delivering a high quality, reliable service of our facilities and key assets across Heathrow. You will ensure that our hold baggage screening systems and processes are maintained to an appropriate level, by analysing trends, leading problem solving activities and driving continuous improvement; placing the passenger and customer at the heart of everything we do.
Accurately capturing maintenance history (work orders, spares & all required information) and update other records to meet business, regulatory & statutory requirements. Ensure that all documentation relating to a specific asset group is updated and fit for purpose
Escalating system operational issues and SQR impacts
Being responsible for 2nd & 3rd Level Problem Escalation and resultant Technical Troubleshooting
Keeping up to date with industry best practice and leading implementation into business as usual
Coaching or train others, including colleagues and apprentices to share learning and best practice amongst the team. Provide specific support, coaching or training of others, including colleagues and apprentices to share on the technical elements of the specific system, including A1 Assessor/Trainer - Accredited to QCF/NVQ Level 3 (with minimum practising requirements)
Engineering degree (any discipline) HND minimum or Engineering apprentice or relevant work experience
High degree of computer literacy
Analytical mindset
Experience of using software, such as Power BI
To have resided in the UK for the past 5 years for CTC clearance
