Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Camp Leader to join our team. As a Camp Leader, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for camp participants. You will have the opportunity to educate and inspire campers through various activities and sports coaching.

- Temporary contract - To work (4days) within the period from 20th December 2024 to 3rd January 2025 (to work during the Christmas holidays)

- Applicants must have availability to work a minimum 4 days during the Christmas holidays.

Duties to include:

- Plan, organise, and lead daily camp activities and programs
- Supervise and ensure the safety of camp participants at all times
- Provide guidance and support to campers during activities
- Create a positive and inclusive environment for all campers
- Teach and coach campers in various sports activities
- Assist with meal times, ensuring proper nutrition and dietary needs are met
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement age-appropriate programs
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and camper progress
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding camper's experiences and any concerns

Knowledge and Experience:

- Previous experience working with children in a camp or recreational setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Knowledge of various sports activities and coaching techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors
- Safeguarding and First Aid certification preferred (training can be supplied)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 7 - 35 per week
