Red Deer Village is a small but busy, family-owned business located in Stepps, Glasgow. Our key focus is providing exclusive homes for the 50+ community in our residential park. Our holiday park has won several awards. It offers self-catering accommodation for rental as well as touring and tent pitches. We are seeking a pair of suitably qualified individuals, preferably a couple/partners willing to work together, to fulfil the key role of park wardens in our busy holiday park. A couple/partners could ideally split responsibilities between them, to cover all areas from office work to general maintenance. A free of charge touring pitch or self-catering holiday home will be offered to the successful applicants. If you love to meet new people from all around the world, then a great opportunity awaits!

Working hours in the summer for each position would generally be Thursday - Monday inclusive, with overtime available. However, alternative/additional days may be required. You will be required to be on call out of normal working hours for emergencies and other issues that may arise. Rate of pay will be 12.71 per hour. Hours will range from 22.5 - 42.5 (3-5 days) in low season to allow for training and lighter workload, and 30-45 hours in high (summer) season.

Main Responsibilities - Exterior & Park Maintenance



Repairs and maintenance to internal and external of all rental units and buildings. Cleaning, washing, pressure washing and inspecting toilet/shower blocks and rental units. Ensure park and facilities remain at a high standard. Empty rubbish bins into containers for weekly collection and washing bins. Attend and deal with emergencies or repairs out of social hours. Evening team walk round park to ensure everything is as it should be. Weekly and monthly checks in compliance with park and H&S procedures. Rodding drains. Change Calor gas bottles. Read gas and electricity meters, handle electric cards. Paint buildings, caravans, kerbs, etc. Various other duties that may arise as part of daily operations. Building experience preferable but not essential.

Main Responsibilities - Office & Interior



Deal with enquiries via telephone and email. Operate an online booking system. Process debit/credit card payments. Check in guests and answer any on site customer queries. Cleaning, washing and inspecting toilet/shower blocks and rental units. Ensure park and facilities remain a high standard and are kept clean and tidy. Work with a team of housekeepers to organise schedules for cleaning and laundry. Arrange repairs to be carried out. Weekly and monthly checks in compliance with park and H&S procedures. Attend and deal with emergencies or repairs out of social hours. Various other duties that may arise as part of daily operations. Evening team walk round park to ensure everything is as it should be.

Experience in using Apple computers preferable, as well as a mixture of Apple and Microsoft software - Numbers, Pages, Word, Outlook and Excel

References required.

Driving license preferred but not essential.

Basic criminal disclosure check required before confirmation of employment.

Previous experience preferable.

Fixed term contract ending 30 September 2026.
