Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced Dance Coach to lead fun and engaging dance sessions for children aged 5-12 at our award winning holiday club based in Kippax. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering age-appropriate dance activities, promoting creativity, confidence, and teamwork in a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver daily dance sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Create a fun and inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment. Lead warm-ups, choreography, dance games, and performance practices. Support and supervise children throughout the day, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Work collaboratively with other club staff to deliver a varied daily schedule of activities. Organise and assist with end-of-week dance showcases or performances for parents and carers. Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment in line with safeguarding and health & safety policies. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues. Act as a positive role model, promoting respect, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle choices.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience leading or assisting children's dance sessions, classes, or clubs. A recognised qualification in dance, performing arts, or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of a variety of dance styles (e.g., street, hip-hop, jazz, musical theatre). Energetic, enthusiastic, and confident working with children. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to manage groups of children safely and effectively. An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). First Aid certification (desirable but not essential).
