Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for working with children. As a Camp Leader, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for campers while overseeing daily activities and ensuring the well-being of all participants.

This position will be over the October Half Term, Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM.

This may lead to further opportunities over the other half terms.

Duties

Lead and manage daily camp activities, ensuring they are engaging and age-appropriate. Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, creativity, and personal growth among campers. Supervise and support camp staff, providing guidance and assistance as needed. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to address any concerns or questions. Plan and implement educational and recreational programmes that promote physical activity and social interaction. Ensure the safety of all campers by adhering to health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and camper progress. Drive campers to various locations as required for off-site activities.

Experience

Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare or educational setting is essential. Experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education environment is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation of campers when necessary. A background in childcare or relevant qualifications in early childhood education will be advantageous.
