Job Description

Job Summary:
The Holiday Park Maintenance Operative is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general presentation of the park's facilities, accommodation units, and grounds. This role ensures that all park amenities are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard, contributing to an enjoyable and memorable guest experience.

Responsibilities



Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections across the park, including accommodation units, buildings, and public areas. Perform

carpentry and painting/decorating work

to maintain and improve the appearance of park structures and interiors. Undertake

basic plumbing and electrical

repairs and checks where required. Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of outdoor areas including lawns, paths, signage, and communal spaces. Carry out

hot tub maintenance

, including water testing, cleaning, chemical balancing, and filter replacement in accordance with safety and hygiene regulations. Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently and professionally. Conduct regular checks on equipment, lighting, heating systems, and safety installations. Assist with preparation and maintenance of holiday homes, including checks before guest arrivals and after departures. Support with seasonal projects such as opening/closing facilities, installing park decorations, and preparing for peak periods. Operate maintenance tools, machinery, and vehicles safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations. Report faults, hazards, or damage promptly to Management Maintain accurate records of completed tasks, materials used, and inspections carried out.

Skills & Experience Required:



Experience in general maintenance or facilities roles, ideally within a holiday park or leisure environment.

Strong carpentry and painting skills

with a high standard of workmanship.

Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.

Experience or willingness to be trained in hot tub maintenance

, including chemical testing and water treatment procedures. Ability to use tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectively. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Full UK driving licence (preferred). Awareness of Health & Safety procedures and COSHH regulations related to chemicals.
