The Community Care Worker plays a vital role in supporting individuals within the community, ensuring they receive the care and assistance needed to maintain their independence and quality of life. Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes or community settings. Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, fostering trust and respect. Monitor clients' health and well-being, reporting any concerns to appropriate professionals. Facilitate access to community resources and services that enhance client independence. Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress. Supervise junior staff or volunteers as required, ensuring high standards of care are upheld. Mentor new team members, sharing knowledge and best practices in community care.

Skills

Proven experience in supervising staff or volunteers within a care setting is essential. Strong mentoring abilities to guide and support less experienced colleagues. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Empathy and compassion for individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to community care services.
