We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care or care homes, possess strong communication skills, and be able to follow care plans effectively. This role is vital in ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality of care and assistance tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Follow and implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately and promptly.
Utilise IT systems for scheduling, reporting, and maintaining client records as necessary.
Requirements
Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to follow care plans accurately and provide personalised support.
A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients when needed.
Basic IT skills to manage documentation and scheduling effectively.
A compassionate attitude towards helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
