Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders. Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each client. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safe transportation. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised living space for clients.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and their families. Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual client needs. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as required. A caring disposition with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
