Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support in a home care setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of care plans, ensuring the well-being of clients while promoting their independence. This role requires someone who can drive to various locations and is comfortable using IT for documentation and communication purposes.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring their comfort and safety. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns. Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and care provided using IT systems. Support clients in engaging with their community, promoting social interaction and mental well-being. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both clients and staff.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence. Familiarity with developing care plans is advantageous. Proficient in IT skills for documentation purposes. A compassionate attitude towards caring for others, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for clients. Flexibility to work varied hours as needed to meet client demands.

Pay: 12.82-13.16 per hour
