Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment while promoting independence. This role requires effective communication skills and a strong understanding of care plans and home care practices.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in meal preparation and dietary needs, adhering to any specific care plans. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their well-being. Facilitate transportation for clients to appointments or social outings, requiring a valid driving licence. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Ensure the home environment is clean, safe, and organised, adhering to health and safety standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.

Skills

Proficient driving skills with a valid driving licence. Experience working in a care home or similar environment is advantageous. Familiarity with developing and following care plans tailored to individual needs. Knowledge of home care practices and the ability to assist with daily living activities. Strong command of English for effective communication with clients and team members. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating via digital platforms. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to build rapport with clients and their families. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through compassionate support and dedicated assistance in their daily routines.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-15.41 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 24 per week
