Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of care plans and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. This role requires someone who is proactive, reliable, and possesses a valid driving licence to

travel between clients houses. Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the relevant parties. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety protocols. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and care plans is advantageous. A valid driving licence is required for transportation duties. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.

Pay scales are as follows:

Monday - Friday up to 18:00pm - 13.00

Monday - Friday after 18:00pm - 13.25

Weekends - 14.00

Bank Holidays - 17.00

Christmas Day - 25.00

Travel time and mileage are paid

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-25.00 per hour
