Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes around Godalming. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care, an understanding of care plans, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with meal preparation and nutrition management according to care plans. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their well-being. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their safety during transit. Utilise IT skills to manage schedules, document care activities, and communicate with the care team effectively. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while providing care in a respectful and dignified manner.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients as needed. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A compassionate nature with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
