Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, comfortable, and organised living environment while promoting independence and well-being for our clients. This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to the varying needs of those you assist.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming as needed. Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying them on outings or appointments. Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by following health and safety guidelines. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and any changes in condition. Document daily activities and report any concerns or observations to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a caregiving or home care role is preferred but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to care. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation purposes. Understanding of basic health and safety regulations related to home care is beneficial. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client needs is essential.

Pay: 15.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 35 per week
