Home Care Assistant / Helper
Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Home Assistant to help my father who has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour and has been left with walking issues, problems with incontinence, providing care and support within a residential setting.
Would suit a school mum who can work during school hours. Twice a week for 2 hours at a time. Take to hospital or doctors appointment occasionally
Duties
- cleaning his home or any other duties he requires
- Assist with taking him out to do weekly shopping in his wheelchair to get him out tge house
- Communicate effectively with families
- walks along the corridor in his sheltered area and or games of cards and dominoes
- cups of tea and chat
Flexible with hours and days
Skills
- Experience in home care or similar setting
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, someone chatty and friendly, patient and kind
- Valid driving licence for transportation needs
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: From 13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 - 12 per week
