Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Follow individual care plans to ensure each client's specific needs are met. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or care manager. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence and access to a car is a must for this role A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential. Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability in all tasks undertaken.
