Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in care home or home care settings and possess strong communication skills in English. As a Home Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities



Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Prepare nutritious meals according to care plans and dietary requirements. Help clients with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental well-being. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence is preferred to assist clients with transportation needs. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
