We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a background in care, with the ability to follow care plans effectively. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients, allowing them to maintain their independence while receiving the necessary assistance.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. Communicate effectively with clients and their families to understand their needs and preferences. Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and timely. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare personnel. Utilise mobile app to document client progress and maintain accurate records as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective interaction with clients and families. Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them diligently is important for this role.
