Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Assistant to provide essential support in a home care environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with care teams to implement care plans effectively.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Communicate effectively with clients and their families to understand their needs and preferences. Collaborate with care home staff to develop and follow personalised care plans. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition or behaviour.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or a related field is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and communication is advantageous. Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients. A caring attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality support are essential.
