Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need in a comfortable environment. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting independence and dignity for those you serve.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, grooming, and hygiene. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions. Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support clients with specific challenges. Provide childcare services when required, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. Offer hospice care support for clients with terminal illnesses, providing comfort and compassion during difficult times. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to relevant parties.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Experience or training in patient care, including knowledge of first aid practices. Ability to drive and transport clients as needed for appointments or outings. Capability to manage challenging behaviours effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour. Experience in childcare is advantageous but not essential. Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting or prolonged standing. A caring nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Pay: 12.21-13.65 per hour
