Job Overview

We are urgently seeking compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Care Assistants to provide care and support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a background or experience working with adults, providing care to individuals in their own homes or similar environments, and possess a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for seniors and those in need of assistance. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence.

Due to specific client needs, we have a preference for staff with a Pilipino or Korean background to support clients with cultural and language specific care preferences.

Duties

Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health. Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities. Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Assist with behaviour management for clients with Alzheimer's or dementia. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care, senior care, hospice care, or similar fields is preferred. Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial. Ability to manage medication administration effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and compassion. Experience with Alzheimer's care or dementia care is an advantage. Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for transportation purposes. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for client support. A caring attitude towards individuals requiring assistance in their daily lives. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
