Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of patient care, including but not limited to senior care, dementia care, and hospice care. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Administer medication as prescribed and assist with medication management. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Support clients with Alzheimer's or dementia through behaviour management techniques. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of first aid and CPR is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for caregiving. Ability to manage challenging behaviours associated with dementia or Alzheimer's care. Proficiency in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary needs. A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients when required. Must be physically fit to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks. Certification in caregiving or nursing is an advantage but not mandatory. Pay: 24,420.00-38,328.47 per year
