Previous experience in care, health, or social care roles

NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)

Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and manual handling procedures

Driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential)

Job Purpose



As a Care Worker with Trust Homecare Solution London, you will play a vital role in supporting Service Users to live with dignity, independence, and comfort within their own homes. Working under the guidance of the Manager or other competent person, you will deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality personal, practical, and social care tailored to each individual's needs. You will uphold the highest professional standards at all times, following the Code of Conduct for Social Care Workers, and ensure that the wellbeing, respect, and rights of every Service User remain at the heart of your work.

Duties and Responsibilities



1. Care to Service User



Review and follow the Personal Care Plan for each Service User.

Assist with:



o Personal hygiene and incontinence management

o Bathing (in bed or bathroom)

o Care of pressure areas, skin, teeth, mouth, hair, and nails

o Positioning and movement of immobile service users (including hoisting, Mo-lift, etc.)

o Medication, where indicated in the Personal Care Plan

o Physical activity (dressing, undressing, walking, sitting, passive exercises)

o Ensure correct positioning in bed or chair in line with risk assessments and

o Support with eating and drinking, being aware of nutritional and cultural needs, and report any changes in appetite.

o Report any significant changes in health or emotional wellbeing promptly to the Manager.

2. Support Services



Provide support services as outlined in the Personal Care Plan, including:

o Preparing food and drink

o Acting as a companion and engaging in conversation

o Assisting with shopping and personal affairs

o Supporting contact with family and friends

o Maintain accurate records of care given, tasks undertaken, and any transactions.

o Participate in meetings, reviews, and discussions regarding Service User care.

Key Personal Responsibilities



o Carry out duties in line with the General Social Care Council Code of Conduct, protecting independence, dignity, and respect.

o Maintain confidentiality at all times.

o Demonstrate courtesy, care, and empathy in all interactions.Ensure health, safety, and welfare of Service Users and yourself; promptly report faulty equipment.

o Communicate effectively with relatives, carers, and professionals (District Nurses, GPs, etc.).

o Respect the beliefs, dignity, and cultural values of Service Users and their families.

o Adhere to agency policies on health & safety, medicines administration, confidentiality, and safeguarding.

o Report complaints, accidents, or concerns promptly.

o Participate in ongoing staff training (health and safety, manual handling).

o Notify management of any changes in personal circumstances, including new convictions or cautions.
