Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those requiring additional support in care homes or home care settings. Your commitment to patient care and ability to manage various behaviours will be essential in this rewarding position.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required. Monitor clients' health and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring adherence to hygiene standards. Document care provided and maintain accurate records as part of case management. Utilise medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare teams.

Qualifications

Previous experience in patient care, senior care, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical tasks safely. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others. A compassionate nature and patience in dealing with various client needs. Relevant certifications or training in caregiving or nursing are an asset but not mandatory.
