Role overview:
Reporting into our Desk Surveyor Team Leader, our Claims Handlers will be responsible for supporting the management of home claims handling processes within the desk surveyor team. As a Claims Handler for our Home Support Services, you'll also be required to maintain and deliver an effective claims support function through desktop settlements, including liaising with suppliers whilst being available to support our customers.
Job details - you'll need to have demonstrable experience in:To act as a referral point for our colleagues, our suppliers and all internal stakeholders. To attend regular WIP reviews meetings with Desk Surveyors with a view to proactively managing WIP and reducing claim lifecycles. To process control reports and taking action to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and best practice to prevent the risk of customer detriment. Responsible for ensuring claims are adequately reserved and claim files are being managed with high level of accuracy. Maintains, updates and navigates various system platforms i.e., Fintech, Core Logic and Respond. Take incoming calls to the Desk Surveyor Hunt Group, ensuring our customers receive a high level of service and support throughout the claim.

Essential skills/experience:Customer service experience within insurance (and ideally claims) Able to communicate and work remotely - using all available online tools i.e. MS teams, systems Can work efficiently and accurately, in line with SLAs and targets, to interpret, track and allocate incoming claims. Strong system skills, ability to navigate and update multiple platforms simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills - can build strong relationships with internal colleagues, external suppliers and Customers. Will develop a good understanding of the value and impact of our work for customers, our team and the wider business
