About the role:




The responsibility of the Home Delivery Assistant is to ensure that all home deliveries are fulfilled whilst providing the best possible service experience for the member. The role will be based in a designated Home Delivery Hub site to receive the orders, pick orders, and prepare them for delivery including taking payment from customers. You may also be required to deliver the shopping to members' homes, using a provided vehicle (upon the completion of the necessary checks). As a Home Delivery Assistant Driver, you will:



Deliver outstanding Customer Service making every contact count. Recognising the importance of putting 'People First' When making deliveries, make them in the safest and most efficient way possible Ensure that all deliveries are made promptly and with high professional standards Receive orders from the stores email system, pick them from the store, bag them and then call the customer back to take payment and confirm order, whilst agreeing a suitable delivery time Always have the tools available to maintain the clear audit trail of delivery activity - signature sheet, pen and cards/letters to advise that a Delivery attempt has failed

To be a successful candidate for this role you will need:



Full UK driving license Reasonable physical fitness to carry out manual handling To always act in a professional and respectable manner Time management skills To have the ability to communicate well with colleagues and customers
