Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate routes effectively while ensuring timely deliveries. A background in warehouse operations and experience with commercial driving is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of products to prevent damage during transit. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist with heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is beneficial. Experience in warehouse operations is an advantage, particularly in relation to logistics and inventory management. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members. Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as necessary for loading and unloading deliveries.
