Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Audio Visual Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio-visual technology, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems. This role requires a keen understanding of computer networking and telecommunications, as well as the ability to work with various equipment and tools. The Audio Visual Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that all audio-visual systems are functioning optimally for events and daily operations.

Duties

Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools. Troubleshoot and repair AV equipment as needed to ensure seamless operation during events. Collaborate with clients to understand their audio-visual needs and provide tailored solutions. Work with computer hardware and networking systems to integrate AV solutions effectively. Read and interpret schematics for installation and troubleshooting purposes. Utilise hand tools for equipment installation and repair tasks. Maintain an inventory of AV equipment and ensure all tools are in good working condition. Implement CCTV systems as required for security purposes.

Experience

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

Proficiency in Juniper networking technologies and Avaya VoIP systems is advantageous. Experience with telecommunication systems and their integration with AV technologies. Familiarity with computer networking principles to support AV installations. Knowledge of equipment repair techniques related to audio-visual technology. Previous experience working with hand tools for installation tasks is essential. A solid understanding of CCTV systems and their applications within various environments.
