Claims Handler - Buildings / Home Insurance Claims
Hours: Full-time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Office-based
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Domestic Technical Claims Handler to join our growing team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll use your technical knowledge of buildings and construction alongside strong customer service skills to deliver outstanding claims handling.
You'll manage property insurance claims from start to finish - scoping repairs, validating claims, and guiding customers through the process with professionalism and empathy. No two days are the same, and you'll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, problem-solving, and doing the right thing for customers.
Skills & Experience That Will Help You Succeed
Technical claims handling experience (2+ years essential)
Strong buildings & construction knowledge Advantagous
Chartered Insurance qualifications (Cert CII or Cert CILA) - desirable
Knowledge of H&S and CDM regulations-advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and organisational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with CAD or insurance scoping systems such as Verisk (Xactware) or CoreLogic (Symbility) - desirable
Resourceful, empathetic, and willing to help customers find the best outcome

Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm (shift pattern)
Saturday mornings on a rota, 9am - 1pm
