Home Manager

Location: Exeter



Salary:

37,700 per annum basic with optional overtime, the Company also offers a discretionary bonus system.

Accountable to:

Deputy Service Manager and company Registered Manager

Responsible for:

Support Workers

Hours of Work:

Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM, (on-call duties apply)

What We Are Looking For:



Experience:

Proven leadership in a care setting for young people.

Skills:

Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment. Strong team leadership, supportive, firm but fair approach, commitment to high-quality service for young people and staff, and flexibility.

Qualifications:



Relevant qualifications in social care or a related field preferred. Strong knowledge of care standards, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements. Professional qualification to Level 3 Health and Social Care (children's pathway) Up-to-date safeguarding and/or recruitment training/management training.

About the Role:



As a House Manager, you will be supporting three Support staff to manage Semi Independent homes for 16-18 year olds, ensuring the highest standards of support for vulnerable young people. You will provide strong leadership, create a nurturing environment, and oversee daily operations to maintain high-quality Support.

Key Responsibilities:



Conducting informal 121s with staff and updating supervision matrix. Take Part in on call rota. Managing the Local Authority process Maintaining the referral matrix and conducting service visits. Facilitating young persons monthly meetings Updating support plans and risk assessments Auditing paper work Attending professional meetings Conducting regular reviews Overseeing staff inductions Managing void bed spaces Supporting staff and identifying any concerns

Requirements:



Strong, compassionate leader with a passion for empowering young people. Ability to manage a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Commitment to providing high-quality care and support. Relevant experience and qualifications in social care. Flexibility and willingness to be on-call. At least 2 years experience in a managerial role in the care setting.

Pay: 37,700.00-42,000.00 per year
