Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Home Removal Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting household goods safely and efficiently, ensuring a smooth removal process for our clients. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Duties

Operate a removal van, ensuring the safe transport of items from one location to another. Load and unload goods carefully, taking care to prevent damage during transit. Communicate with clients regarding delivery times and any special requirements they may have. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any issues encountered during transport. Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate the logistics of each removal job. Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the van when necessary. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver is essential. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices. Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for basic vehicle maintenance tasks. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including flatbed vans, as needed. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required. A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
