We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Teacher/Tutor to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, delivering engaging lessons and supporting students' academic and personal development. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the curriculum and students' individual needs
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and guardians to ensure student success
Organise extracurricular activities that promote holistic development
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and behavioural observations
Skills
Proven experience in teaching or tutoring across various age groups
Strong understanding of child development and special educational needs and neurodivergent learners or willing to learn
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students and also able to deliver engaging, tailored sessions across core subjects
A natural rapport builder who 'gets' teens and can bring the banter
Physically active and happy to join in with sports or movement breaks
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student requirements
Creative, patient and adaptable; think outside the box not just inside the curriculum
Organised with strong planning skills and attention to detail
Empathetic approach with patience and resilience in challenging situations
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
