Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities such as cleaning , cooking and enabling no personal care to be provided and ensuring their comfort and safety. We currently have 4/ 6 hours a week available - with the view to building up clientele for a part to full time staff member. This means this role can be currently worked as a second job/ or around other commitments - such as school hours etc. This position requires effective communication skills and a genuine passion for home support.

Duties

Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry to maintain a safe and tidy living environment. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding any changes in the client's condition or needs. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safe transportation. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is highly desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with clients and team members. Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is an advantage. A valid driving licence is needed to due to travelling between clients homes. A caring attitude, patience, and the ability to work independently are essential traits for success in this role.
