Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to join our team. The ideal candidates will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves providing home care services. Support Workers play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with specific health needs.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs. Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary. Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with dementia or specific health needs. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety standards. Facilitate social interaction and companionship for clients to promote mental well-being. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in senior care, caregiving, or a related field is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medication administration is beneficial. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or other health needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. A valid driving licence is not needed as we can place you with clients who do not require drivers.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 13.80 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 40 per week
