SEMCAS

is a Home Education and Alternative Provision provider working with children out of school in London and Bromley. We work with local authorities to provide educators for SEN children with EHCPs, aged 5-16.

We are looking for a

full-time, travelling, in-person home education provider

with SEN experience to work with our students.

You will be given two main roles:

1. Long-term placement

One long-term SEN student,

3-4 contact hours per day

5 days a week

This role is intended to be long-term and stable. You will build a lasting relationship with one student and their family over a number of years.

This will include educational activities, events and outings outside of the home. You will be responsible for planning and supervising these activities and driving the student there with you.

2. Additional provision and cover

During your remaining hours you will provide ad-hoc emergency provision and short-term cover for other students on alternative provision or in between school placements.

Because this role involves regular travel between students,

you must drive and own your own car

. Students are mainly in South East London and Bromley, but can be as far as Orpington, Clapham and Bexley.

Hours and contract

Full-time employed role Monday to Friday,

9am-5pm (8 hours per day)

Term-time only

, aligned with school holidays Salary:

38,000-42,000 (DOE)

Enhanced DBS required (provided)

The ideal candidate:

Can teach

Maths and English up to Functional Skills level

Has experience working with

SEN children

(SEMH, autism, dyslexia, or similar) Is confident working

1:1

, independently, outside of a classroom setting Drives and owns their own car Is reliable, calm, and consistent

Training and support

QTS is

not required

SEN-specific training will be provided Ongoing supervision and support from SEMCAS
