Horticultural Therapist

join us on a part time basis (term time only applications also welcomed).

Working from our beautiful therapeutic garden, you'll lead engaging horticultural sessions. We support both adult groups for both self-referred and socially prescribed clients with a range of presentations that benefit horticultural therapy and also for high school-aged students with physical and/or learning disabilities. Supported by volunteers or school staff, you'll plan and deliver tailored gardening and craft sessions that inspire confidence, connection, and wellbeing.

What you'll do:

Design and deliver therapeutic gardening activities suited to individual needs Collaborate with volunteers and school staff to create a safe and supportive environment Keep clear records and contribute to ongoing service development Prepare reports and help ensure health and safety and data protection compliance

What you'll bring:

Evidence of education and qualification in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture Experience working with both adults and young people with additional needs Knowledge of or interest in horticultural therapy or therapeutic gardening Empathy, adaptability, and strong communication skills A proactive, organised approach to planning and reporting
Some flexibility for planning/admin to be done from home is possible, but all sessions will take place on site.
