OVERALL PURPOSE





The Hospitality Assistant will be responsible for front of house service and delivery of events. This will include the preparation, service and delivery of all beverages, the room set ups. Service may include full waitress service.

Hands on front of house service of beverages and hospitality events.

Professional customer care skills at all time, from personal appearance and dress, positive smiling manner to all guests.

Positive and enthusiastic approach to working in a team demonstrating good behaviour and a flexible can do attitude.

Ability to receive and follow instructions and take on board feedback in a positive manner.

Ability to be self- motivated and demonstrate use of initiative to engage in all tasks within the catering areas

Ability to transport catering events equipment, beverages and food to site venues using the department van.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES





Respond to the work plan for the day prioritising tasks to include advanced preparation for events where required.

The preparation and delivery of all events including beverage, buffet, and formal dining.

The servicing and maintenance of all coffee areas and machine in central areas such as common rooms and beverage points, reporting any faults to a senior member of staff.

The tidiness, cleanliness and due diligence of the still areas and equipment storage areas

Management and stocktaking of site beverage stock and light equipment

Delivery and service of match tea's

Assisting with hospitality bars and alcoholic service when required

Support service in the main dining servery and wash-up areas as required

Take responsibility for the safekeeping and use of cleaning chemicals and Personal protective equipment

Attend all training courses organised by the management team

To carry out one to one coaching of new staff or casual staff that support events.

Be flexible in the work environment as some shifts may require you to work outside of described hours and on site throughout the school grounds with occasional external events.
