The Clubhouse Hospitality Manager is responsible for the overall management, service standards, and success of the clubhouse and event areas. This position leads the hospitality team, ensuring a seamless experience for members and guests while maintaining operational efficiency and staff excellence. With full ownership of venue performance, staff management, and guest satisfaction, the Manager takes charge of all service-related aspects, supervises the Clubhouse & Terrace Supervisor, and plays a key leadership role in the country club's daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Ownership:
Oversee the entire clubhouse and terrace operations, ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained venue at all times.
Take full responsibility for service quality, guest satisfaction, staff performance, and financial success.
Lead by example, setting service and operational standards that reflect the club's hospitality values.
Drive continuous improvement, implementing best practices to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Staff Management & Performance Oversight:
Directly supervise the Clubhouse & Terrace Supervisor and ensure proper delegation of tasks to junior staff.
Recruit, train, and develop a team committed to excellence, professionalism, and guest engagement.
Conduct regular staff training sessions in service etiquette, food & beverage operations, health & safety compliance, and conflict resolution.
Monitor staff performance, providing structured feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
Ensure effective shift planning, staffing levels, and team coordination to maintain seamless service.
Service & Guest Experience:
Ensure top-tier food & beverage service that aligns with the club's quality expectations.
Act as the key point of contact for members and guests, handling inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
Develop initiatives to enhance the dining and hospitality experience, including themed events and seasonal offerings.
Uphold service standards by proactively monitoring the venue atmosphere, presentation, and responsiveness to guest needs.
Stock Control & Financial Management:
Take ownership of inventory management, ensuring cost-effective stock control and supplier coordination.
Implement stock rotation practices to minimise waste while ensuring freshness and quality.
Oversee budget control, financial reporting, and profitability initiatives within the clubhouse and terrace.
Collaborate with senior management on pricing strategies, promotions, and revenue optimisation.
Venue Maintenance & Cleanliness:
Ensure clubhouse and terrace cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation meet high standards at all times.
Conduct regular venue inspections, addressing any maintenance needs swiftly.
Work closely with housekeeping and facilities teams to uphold venue functionality and aesthetics.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Maintain full accountability for health, safety, and licensing regulations across the clubhouse and terrace.
Conduct compliance checks, ensuring staff adherence to safety protocols and hygiene standards.
Oversee emergency procedures, ensuring readiness and swift action when required.
Event Planning & Execution:
Lead the coordination of golf days, other private functions, and seasonal promotions.
Adapt venue operations to support event requirements, ensuring a seamless and engaging guest experience.
Take charge of service logistics for special events, ensuring smooth execution and exceptional hospitality.
Decision-Making & Problem-Solving:
Act decisively in resolving operational challenges, guest concerns, and service disruptions.
Ensure smooth daily service flow, addressing immediate issues with professionalism and efficiency.
Lead crisis management efforts in emergency situations, ensuring staff and guest safety.
Collaboration with Kitchen Team & Stock Management:
Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to coordinate menu offerings, seasonal specials, and event catering requirements.
Maintain stock levels for food, beverages, and service essentials, ensuring timely replenishment and avoiding shortages.
Monitor inventory rotation and waste management, implementing best practices to ensure cost efficiency.
Ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and kitchen staff for seamless service execution.
Support quality control efforts by overseeing food presentation and service consistency, aligning with club standards.
Assist in menu innovation, suggesting beverage pairings or service enhancements based on member preferences.
Golf Days & Signature Golf Days - Premium Event Management:
Ensure flawless execution of Golf Days and Signature Golf Days, recognising their importance as the venue's premier events.
Maintain exceptional service standards, ensuring a premium dining experience that matches the exclusivity of these events.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to deliver high-quality dining, high-end beverage selections, and seamless service.
Anticipate and meet elevated expectations of guests, ensuring personalised attention, refined presentation, and effortless hospitality.
Oversee venue setup, ensuring ambiance, table settings, and decor reflect the prestige of Signature Golf Days.
Work closely with senior management to refine the event experience, creating tailored offerings that reinforce the club's premium reputation.
