This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hospitality & Commercial team at Hampshire Cricket & Utilita Bowl as Hospitality Sales Executive.
As the Club expands its offering, and prepares for a high-profile calendar of events--including major domestic cricket, Southern Brave and international fixtures--this role will be integral to driving new revenue and delivering exceptional client experiences.
Working closely with the Business Development Manager and supporting the Partnerships Manager when required, this is a diverse and hands-on role, ideal for someone passionate about sport, sales, Hospitality and service. You'll be responsible for overseeing hospitality operations on matchday, selling hospitality packages & ensuring our clients enjoy a best-in-class matchday experience.
Salary Expectations:
26,000 + bonus potential of up to 5,000
THE ROLE
We are looking for an energetic, organised and customer service driven Hospitality Sales Executive to support the day-to-day operation of our hospitality and sales efforts. You will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, providing best in class service and supporting the delivery of memorable experiences for our guests.
This role will also take a lead on matchday hospitality operations--working across internal departments including operational, catering & delivery teams and with external providers to ensure seamless delivery and premium standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactively support outbound sales efforts--researching, prospecting, and contacting potential clients to sell Hospitality packages.
Represent the venue at meetings, calls and networking events to promote our Hospitality packages.
Work alongside the Business Development Manager to deliver, respond to enquiries and support inbound leads.
Assist the Partnerships Manager with administrative and operational tasks relating to sponsorship delivery.
Oversee the hospitality operation and client experience on matchdays--working cross-functionally with ticketing, catering and guest services.
Liaise with clients pre-event to confirm details, take special requests, and ensure their expectations are met.
Manage small accounts, including handling enquiries, issuing confirmations and maintaining CRM records.
Track sales activity and assist in preparing reports for internal stakeholders.
Support the day-to-day relationship with third-party hospitality sales partners (e.g., Seat Unique).
Champion a positive guest experience--both in planning and live environments.
YOUR SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
Essential Skills / Experience:
A confident communicator with a people-first approach and enthusiasm for client-facing work.
Proven experience in a customer service, sales, or Hospitality role
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise and follow through.
Proactive and solutions-oriented with a desire to exceed expectations.
Comfortable working in both office and event settings.
Able to work evenings and weekends as required for matchdays and events.
Desirable Skills:
Previous experience in a sports, hospitality or live events environment.
Understanding of hospitality operations or guest services.
Familiar with CRM tools and/or ticketing platforms such as SecuTix or Seat Unique.
A passion for sport, particularly cricket.
Educated to at least degree level, or equivalent experience.
WORKING HOURS & LOCATION
This role is based at Utilita Bowl, Botley Road, West End, Southampton, SO30 3XH. The working week is generally Monday - Friday, 7.5hrs per day which can be worked between 7am- 6.30 pm depending on Line Manager Approval . There will be a requirement to work evenings and weekends during the season for matchdays and major events.
