Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Hospitality Sous Chef to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in London, EC4A.


The kitchen operates Monday to Friday, with working hours of 7:00am to 3:30pm, offering an excellent work-life balance. This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) based in a dynamic corporate hospitality environment. Occasional evening overtime may be required to support fine dining and hospitality events.


Our team enjoys full autonomy to craft expressive, seasonal menus made entirely from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients. We take pride in creativity, quality, and a genuine passion for great food, delivering high-end hospitality experiences within a professional corporate setting.


As Hospitality Sous Chef you will support the Hospitality Head Chef in the day-to-day management of culinary operations, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively with the wider hospitality team.


Key Responsibilities




Food Preparation and Cooking




Assist the Hospitality Head Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes for corporate dining, meetings, and hospitality events Ensure all food is prepared in line with company standards, recipes, and food safety regulations

Menu Development




Work closely with the Hospitality Head Chef to develop creative, seasonal menus that meet client expectations and business requirements Contribute ideas for special events, themed functions, and fine dining menus

Team Leadership




Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring high culinary standards and compliance with health and safety procedures Promote a positive, professional, and team-focused kitchen culture

Quality Control




Maintain consistent standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control Carry out regular kitchen checks to ensure cleanliness and adherence to food safety and health and safety guidelines

Inventory and Stock Management




Support stock control, ordering, and storage of food supplies in line with company procedures Minimise waste through effective planning, portion control, and efficient use of ingredients

Client and Customer Engagement




Support tastings, menu presentations, and client engagement for corporate hospitality events when required
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef looking for a stable, weekday role while still being involved in creative, high-quality hospitality and fine dining events.
