We're recruiting for an experienced and passionate
Barista and Hospitality Tutor
to deliver accredited vocational training to young learners in a secure environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on making a real difference, has a strong background in the hospitality sector, and is confident teaching challenging but rewarding groups.
You'll be delivering structured qualifications (Entry Level to Level 3) and supporting young people's progress by helping them build employability skills and confidence in a practical, hands-on subject area.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver engaging, accredited Barista and Hospitality training to young learners in line with curriculum standards.
Plan and prepare lessons, schemes of work, and assessments that meet awarding body and internal quality standards.
Track and record learner progress, providing feedback and tailored support.
Maintain a safe, secure and inclusive classroom environment in line with safeguarding procedures.
Contribute to the continuous development of the curriculum to meet learner and labour market needs.
Support learners with work readiness and help build pathways to employment through industry-relevant training.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Occupational competence in the Barista and/or wider hospitality sector.
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTLS, DTLLS).
A1 Assessor Award or equivalent.
Experience delivering vocational training (ideally from Entry Level to Level 3).
Strong classroom management skills and ability to build rapport with learners.
Solid administration and IT skills (including MS Office).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to learner welfare.
DBS Enhanced Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable:
Experience working with challenging learner groups or within secure environments.
Knowledge of Ofsted standards and experience delivering to a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level.
Awareness of diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities in an educational setting.
