Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

You'll be the warm and welcoming face of The Spence, building strong relationships with members and guests alike Greeting, seating and distributing menus to guests with charm and attentiveness You'll managed the seating chart, waiting list and continuously communicate with your Spence team You'll take pride in all tasks you complete, being an essential member of the Spence service team ensuring we're setup for success Attending to any guest queries and enquiries in a caring and helpful manner, and with a commitment to dealing with their issues in a positive way You'll maintain the highest standards of service, space preparation and presentation throughout the restaurant Playing a significant part in making sure the restaurant operation runs without a hitch, and our service exceeds expectation Have an excellent knowledge of the wider estate and the facilities available to our guests Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way

The kind of person we're looking for:

Having had experience within a luxury hospitality environment would be ideal, however having a great attitude is essential Your perspective and approach are always fresh; no matter how many times an issue has been presented to you, to your guest it's the first time You'll be working flexibly during the week and weekends across both lunch and dinner service A keen eye for detail, an organised approach and willingness to exceed guest expectation You want to be the best and work with the best - learning from the experts in our team and sharing your knowledge with us You have a high level of resilience and the ability to deal with fast-paced environments is essential You're a sociable person - both towards the guests you're looking after and your fellow colleagues Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand You have a positive "can do" attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way

About gratuities service charge:

Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to our room rates and services across the hotel that is passed directly to our employees) are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role. It is estimated that in 2025, our Fulltime employees can expect to receive around 10,000 in addition to their annual salary.
