Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of service within our establishment, whether in a restaurant or hotel setting.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with a pleasant dining experience. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimise guest flow. Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the entrance and waiting areas. Assist with menu explanations and answer any guest inquiries about the offerings. Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the venue.

Requirements

Previous experience in a guest services role, preferably within a restaurant, hotel or bar environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette. A friendly disposition with a passion for helping others and providing outstanding hospitality. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
