What This Role Is Here To Do (Role Purpose)



As the first and last face our guests see, the Host plays a vital role in creating a standout experience from the moment they walk through the door. You'll bring warmth, confidence, and impeccable organisation to every shift: welcoming guests, managing bookings, coordinating smooth arrivals and departures, and keeping the venue buzzing with good vibes and great flow.

What Success Looks Like

Guests feel immediately welcome and well looked after Bookings and arrivals are handled efficiently and with care Guest flow is managed seamlessly during peak and quiet times Front-of-house team are supported with up-to-date guest info Queues are avoided and table turnover is managed smoothly You bring energy, clarity, and calmness to busy moments

Key Responsibilities





Welcome every guest with warmth, energy, and confidence Manage the booking system and guest list with attention to detail Communicate expected wait times, table availability, and venue layout Proactively monitor guest movement and adjust flow where needed Act as the point of contact for bookings, walk-ins, and special occasions Liaise with FOH team to ensure tables are guest-ready and properly turned over Support queue management and minimise guest wait times Handle guest queries or concerns professionally and positively Keep the host stand organised and presentable at all times Assist with cloakroom duties and guest belongings when required Keep a calm head and a smile during busy periods

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





Friendly, confident, and articulate communicator Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple bookings at once Calm under pressure with a guest-first attitude Naturally warm and welcoming with excellent people skills Comfortable using booking software and digital tools Able to read the room and adapt tone and pace accordingly Works well in a team and supports others to deliver seamless service Strong attention to cleanliness, detail, and appearance of the welcome area
