Overview

Piazza Italiana is seeking a professional and friendly Hostess/Receptionist to join this beautiful restaurant renowned for its authentic Italian cuisine and warm ambiance with immediate start.

The Hostess role:

As the first point of contact for our guests, the Hostess/Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a memorable first impression. You'll greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism, manage reservations, and support the team in delivering seamless service across the restaurant.

What you will do:

Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival

Answer phone calls and inquiries, providing information and assistance.

Manage reservations and walk-ins using Open Table booking system

Coordinate seating to ensure smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction

Communicate effectively with the service team to manage table turnover and guest preferences

Manage guest expectations during busy periods

Maintain a polished and welcoming presence at the host stand

Assist with administrative tasks such as menus, guest notes, and special requests

The ideal Hostess will have:

At least one year of experience in a food and beverage or hospitality setting

A genuine passion for guest service and creating memorable experiences

Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written)

A polished, professional appearance and confident, friendly manner

Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Experience with Open Table reservation system
