An opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to work with us as a Host/Kitchen Assistant within the Catering department at The Manor House St Hilary. The Manor House care home offers the very best care and service for elderly people. Part Time contracts available - ( 3 or 4 days out of 7 dependent of hours required) Shift pattern; 7am - 3pm EVERY OTHER WEEKEND, 11AM- 6PM Weekdays
Our home provides exceptional levels of care. Our focus is on creating a home-from-home for our ladies and gentleman. . The role includes hosting to our residents and guests.

Key Duties:



Food Preparation. Preparation of breakfast food, drinks, snacks and specialised diets in a safe and compliant manner.

To assist with service of lunch, drinks and snacks under the direction of the chef in a friendly and professional manner and to be courteous to all residents, guests and fellow employees at all time.

To assist our residents who require assistance at meal times and with taking fluids, documenting intake on residents charts

Ensuring good communication between the kitchen and residents, and assisting the kitchen team with events.

To keep the main kitchen, satellite kitchens and all food service areas clean and hygienic in accordance with the cleaning schedules provided. This includes floors, work surfaces, furnishings and equipment.

To clean crockery, cutlery, utensils, containers and related equipment manually and by use of industrial dishwasher to ensure sanitisation.

To undertake all legislative and mandatory training relevant to the role. This will be provided, however you will be responsible for keeping your e-learning and reading of company policies and procedures up to date.

Uniforms will be provided and you will be expected to follow The Manor House dress code at all times.

Experience in food preparation would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given to the right candidate.

Experience: catering and care : preferred but not essential

In house training, induction and uniform is provided.

Pay: From 12.50 per hour
