Countrystyle Meats is a family run business, and we are looking for a hot/cold food prep assistant to join our busy team at our Lancaster Leisure Park facilities.

The ideal candidate will ideally be able to start immediately and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the takeaway area, providing excellent customer service and support to both customers and staff.

This position is perfect for individuals who have experience in cooking & helping to prepare a variety of hot and cold food & sandwiches.

To deliver the highest standard of customer service

Ensure our customers are served in an efficient, friendly and polite manner

Have awareness of gluten free products and allergens

Professionally deal with all customer queries

Ensure goods are displayed to company standards

Keep the hot & cold display counters well stocked.

Be aware of promotions / new products

Clean equipment, wash up and any other general housekeeping

Take part in quarterly stock takes

Maintain all required records accurately

Ensure goods are rotated and handled with care

Always comply fully with food hygiene and health and safety requirements

Experience of working and cooking fast food (essential)

Ability to cook basic foods such as bacon, sausage, egg, burgers, chips etc...

Ability to prepare and prep cold sandwiches / foods such as sandwiches/salads

Experience of working in a team

Food Hygiene Compliant

Customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and confidently

Good eye for detail

Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively

Ability to serve customers in a friendly, polite and approachable manner

Ability to demonstrate a flexible attitude to work, and working hours

Only candidates with previous food preparation and cooking skills will be considered. Candidates must be flexible about working hours and able to work weekends and Bank Holidays as part of a rota.
