Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly within restaurants or hotels, and will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and leading a team of staff. This role requires a passion for food preparation and culinary excellence, as well as the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily operations of the restaurant or hotel, ensuring high standards of service and food quality. Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving practices. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and health standards. Foster a positive working environment by encouraging teamwork and effective communication among staff. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels. Contribute to menu planning and food production processes to enhance customer satisfaction. Support the Manager in implementing operational strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in restaurants or hotels. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Previous experience as a barista is advantageous but not essential. A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
