Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Linen Porter & Public Area Attendant to join our team in ensuring that all public spaces within our hotel are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role is crucial in providing an exceptional experience for our guests and maintaining the overall aesthetic of our hotel.

Responsibilities

Ensuring corridor linen collections made throughout the day and bagged up ready for collection. Clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and outdoor spaces. Ensure that all surfaces are sanitised and free of debris, maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Monitor and restock supplies in public restrooms and other common areas as needed. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department promptly. Assist with special cleaning projects as directed by management. Uphold the hotel's standards of cleanliness and service excellence at all times.

Skills

This position is physically demanding and requires a good level of physical fitness, as duties include the regular movement of linen bags and the sorting of fresh linen upon delivery and assisting on linen collection with our linen supplier. Previous hotel experience is highly desirable, particularly in a housekeeping or janitorial role. Strong understanding of hospitality principles and guest service. Experience with cleaning equipment and janitorial supplies is an advantage. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff alike. Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 36 per week
